RAJKOT (PTI): Gujarat Chief Minister Chimanbhai Patel on Dec.30 ruled out privatization of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) in the interests of commuters from remote areas and villages.
Talking to newsmen informally in the circuit house Patel said the Privatization could lead to operations only on the main and commercial routes
But it was essential that the buses should be connected to villages and rural areas of the state Patel said while describing the GSRTC operations as social service.
Patel also evaded questions about the much talked about reshuffle of his cabinet saying it was chief minister’s prerogative.
