NEW DELALN: the home minister, S.B.Chavan, on September 3rd, ruled out the possibility of repeating Terrorists and Disruptive (prevention) Activities Act under which several thousand people are reported to have been booked in warts, parts of the country.

Mr. Chavan said he had written at least half a dog/en letters to chief minister cautioning them TSE the misuse of TADA, He said though the Act was meant to book Terrorists but in a some states even ordinary criminals had been arrested und TADA.

The home minister denied that the Act was being used against any particular community, Describing the allegations as baseless he said nobody belonging to the minority communities bad been arrested under TADA in the North East und elsewhere.
