KARACHI: A dozen Pakistanis from 12 political parties began an indefinite hunger strike on Oct.12 to protect against the siege by Indian Army of Kashmir’s holiest Muslim shrine, police said.
The hunger strikers also demanded the release of Kashmiri leader Aman ullah Khan, who was arrested in Belgium the end of October. Pakistan and India have fought two of their three wars since independence from Britain in 1947 over the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir’s India rules two thirds of Kashmir and Pakistan the rest.
