NEW DELHI (PTI): Punjab Police Chief claimed Dee.10 that his force has wiped out terrorism from the state, thanks to the ‘unstinted support from political leadership.
Police Chief K.P.S.Gill said at a Press Conference here that now it was in constant touch with Interpol, through federal Intelligence agency of India, in its efforts to nab fugitive Punjab militants abroad. “There is no group in Punjab which can take up militancy,” Gill said, adding that even ISI, Pakistan Intelligence outfit, was confused and there had been no fresh recruitment to the ranks of militants, He said fugitive militants have either sneaked to other Indian States or in countries like the U.S., some European and south Asian countries and Indian states were fully cooperating with Punjab police in combating militants. Meanwhile, a report from Chandigarh said two militants were killed, and three others arrested by the security forces in separate incidents in Punjab since Thursday night.
