NEW DELHI: Center Saturday decided to change two advisers to governors in the strife-tom areas of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir to tone up administration.
A Zaki, commandant of the National Defense Academy and Hamidullah, chairman, state services recruitment board, were being appointed new advisers to the state governor, Girish Saxena, official sources said, They would replace Virendra Prakash and Ved Marwab.
In Punjab, 2 of the three advisers to Governor Surendra Nath ware being changed. The new appointees were J K Puri former vice chief of Army staff, and Sadanand, a senior civil servant, the sources said.
