ISLAMABAD: The former prime minister of Azad Kashmir Mumtaz Hussein Rathore said he would challenge his dismissal by the Pakistan government in the international court of justice.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore Rathore who was sacked in July last said his removal by the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad government was “unconstitutional”.
Elections held after Rathore dissolved the assembly resulted in a sweeping victory for the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference led by Sardar Mohammad Abdul Qayyum Khan
Rathore accused the IJI and the Muslim Conference of large-scale rigging and threatened to launcha militant movement against the new government. But he was arrested early July and released after a two week detention.
