VANCOUVER: A first-degree murder charge has been stayed in what the prosecution calls a contact killing.
Jimsher Singh Dosanjh 24 of Vancouver was accused of shooting to death Teodoro Salcedo 25 last March 14 Salcedo’s body was dumped from a van in broad day light in Vancouver.
The Crown had gone to B.C. Supreme Court the day before to argue that Dosanjh in jail since his arrest May 9 was too dangerous to be allowed to go free. The court agreed.
Police sources say Salcedo was a known drug courier from Santa Ana Calif.
They say the killing was over a drug rip off or drug debt involving two kilograms of cocaine Family members celebrated outside the courthouse as Jimsher Dosanjh was freed.
They brought in over a dozen witnesses and were unable to prove my brother did this killing of the of the militant International Sikh Youth Federation in Vancouver His wife Balwinder Kaur 22 was shot and injured at her home last March 28 only days after a moderate Sikh political leader also was shot and wounded.
