Over the next several weeks WSN will serialize this small book which analyses the Origins and the Current Sikh struggle for independence from India

India’s “Blue Star” Military Offensive against the Sikhs, designated extremists, separatists and anti-national terrorists was in fact the declaration of a total war against the Sikhs, The Indian Army Official Bulletin, BAAT-CHEET, says, “Amritdharis”

Who are dangerous people and pledged to commit murder, arson and acts of terrorism should immediately be brought to the no- tice of the authorities. These people may appear harmless from outside but they are basically committed to terrorism. In the interest of all of us their identity and whereabouts must always be disclosed” ended it first phase one June 6,1984 with the reduction, in military jargon, of the highest Sikh temporal authority, Shri Akal Takhat, and the highest religious place, the Harimandir, popularly known as the Golden Temple, and the structure buildings appurtenant to it and called the Golden Temple complex, and later, started its relentless campaign of terrorizing the Sikhs in the Punjab villages, including all the twelve thousand odd villages where the vast majority of Sikhs reside. The countryside is the bastion of Sikh political power and economic muscle, The Sikh peasant and cultivator is hard-working and self-reliant. He is equally a man of peace and egalitarian. He inculcates the true Sikh ethos and is always ready to fight for good causes. He is simple, loyal and trusting. Unfortunately, he has been trained by his political mentors the Shiromani Akali Dal, to provide them with only an inexhaustible source of “political raw material.” Troops of the Blue Star had planned into the Punjab villages on ostensively a combing mission which in the language of “BAAT-CHEET” means hunting of Amritdhari Sikhs. Arms will be dug up after thorough house searches using ultra-sound metal detectors. Even simple agricultural implements like a gandasa, scythe and the Sikh religious symbol, the Kirpan, were seized. There are complaints of large-scale looting of village Sikh house- holds and the pilferage of costly items like television, tape-recorders and cast etc. According to the Indian Express an English daily newspaper, there is not a single village in the Punjab from where the Indian Army did not take away Sikh Youths suspected to be Amritdharis’ – terrorists, murderers and anti-national Sikhs of the “New Delhi’ pseudo-speak (lexicon) without disclosing their whereabouts to their relatives for weeks together during which period, they were subjected to in- human torture, The military interrogation centers try to extort incriminating confessions and other information.

The discovery of illegal arms and arrests of Amritdhari Sikhs continued for months together because of the political contingencies as in the case of Joan-of-Arc of France who had been Burt alive at the stake. George Barnard Shaw in his book, Saintjoan’, states that Joan of Arc appeared in a dream and requested permission to come back and live in peace in France, She was frankly told by the dreaming Lord Warvick, the English Commander of the British Army in France: “No”, the political contingency still exists to demand your burning at the stake.” The broad end of the joke was that she was liquidated for political reasons and not that she was a witch. She was only given this bad name before hanging (burning in this case).

Speaking through their mouthpiece, the Government of India, the elitist-urbanite masters have fashioned their own new ‘Hindi Pseudo-Speak Jargon’ to communicate with the same word, different things to different people at the receiving end. Thus, in the BAAT-CHEET parlance, a terrorist means an Amritdhari Sikh to a non-Sikh and a terrorist to the Sikh, who thus remains deluded like the Longowal Alkalis into believing in Hindu-Sikh Ekta. It is thus a double-coded secret phraseology which goes one better on the Orwellian New Speak which conveyed the same secret meaning to all those receiving ‘His Master’s Voice’. It was thus that the champions of India’s Unity and indivisibility became the much-maligned and hated communalists of the post-independence era. It may be recalled here in this connection that both the Hindus and Muslims, as represented by the Indian National Congress and Muslim League, had agreed to partition of India into Pakistan and Bharat, whereas, the communalists of the ‘New Hindi | pseudo-speak” jargon, that is, the Sikh people, opposed partition of the India to the bitter end. It is an irony of fate that those who accepted partition of India for satisfying their greed and hunger or power in 1947 A.D., gave away a part of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan, 30000 square Kms of N.E-F.A,, & the whole of Tibet to China and had planned during Indo-Pak war of 1965 with Pakistan to make a stand along river Bias.. But for the ‘intransigence’ of the local Sikh Commanders, Lt. Generals Harbaksh Singh and Dhillon, who refused to withdraw the army and thus saved the Majha tact including Gurdaspur and Amritsar districts etc. for India. These Hindu, leaders still call themselves patriotic nationals and the Sikhs, who had through their sacrifices delinked the Punjab up to Jamrod, from its over-lords in Ghanani, Kabul and Kandhar and made it a ‘Gift of Sikhs to India’.. and yet continued to be dubbed as separatists and antinational terrorists. Thus when it is said that the Blue-Star Operation has succeeded in breaking the back of the terrorist group, a different message is meant to be conveyed to the Khalsa Panth. What is this message? The Akal Takhat in the Golden Temple Complex which was the non-state sovereign power center of the Khalsa-Panth lies trampled under the Indian Amy ‘Jack Boot’, the message should be received éclair and Sikh responses fashioned accordingly. But the question is by whom? This constitutes the Sikh dilemma, The Shiromani Akali Dal stands unconditionally surrendered and, the Dharm-Yudh, abandoned. What, then, is the legitimacy of the S.A. Dal? The Sikh masses have been advised by the junior rank Akali leaders to follow the lead given by the Sikh High Priests. The same applies to the S.G.P.C; whose president and a senior member of the Akali High Command also raised both hands above his head while surrendering unconditionally, instead of standing by the Kesri Flag. Both the presidents of the S.A.DAL and the S.G.P.C. had exhorted the Sikh masses to come forward in defence of the sanctity of the Golden Temple, the Kesri Nishan Sahib and the Akal Takhat. Both these leaders betrayed and sought safety in surrender. The terrorists, separatists etc. of the ‘New Hindi Pseudo-Speak lexicon’, the Amritdhari Sikhs of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala and ALSSF., did stand by the Sikh flag and, according to a certificate granted to them by the Blue Star General and a ‘Judan rat’ for the Sikhs, Major General K.S. Brar, “fought to the last breath and bullet and showed no indiscipline”. This was in keeping with Sikh tradition and Guru’s Jabh Auv Ke Audh Nidhan Bane Ut He Ran Mein Tubh Joojh Maron The Akali leaders followed in the tradition of their predecessors, Master Tara Singh and Sant Fateh Singh, who had similarly broken their fasts un-to-death ‘to fight in other day’. There should be no doubt now that the S.A. Dal had slipped and fallen from the Sikh traditions. Thus, S.A. Dal is guilty of betrayal. The recent utterances of  these Akali leaders and their ‘backup stratagem’ , the Sikh High Priests are, also, swearing by Hindu-Sikh Unity as an article  of faith which runs counter to the Guru’s draconian ordinance:
