NEW DELHI: Three opinion polls put the Congress (I) as the frontrunner in next week’s Lok Sabha elections with the BJP second. | India Today and Frontline magazines predicted a hung parliament with the Congress (J) as the largest party Sunday magazine opinion poll forecast overall majority for the Congress.

India Today poll conducted by the marketing and research group (MARG) in 51 Lok Sabha constituencies between May 7 and 10 predicted 233 seats for the Congress (I) 155 seats for BJP and 105 seats for the National Front/ in the 545-member house.

The Sunday poll conducted by Surjit Bhalla a Psephology’s gave the Congress (I) and its allies a minimum of 310 seats and suggested that the figure could go even higher predicting 85 seats for the BJP and 30 for the JD
