INDORE: Eleven members of an Adivasi (tribal) family three women and four children were burnt alive Sunday by some miscreants at Baktal village in Dhar district in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

The ghastly incident took place about 150 km from this city.

The miscreants as yet unidentified set ablaze the house of an Adivasi Kisan Budha while he and his family were asleep it was officially stated here The miscreants waited near the spot and pelted stones at villagers who rushed to save the family.

Police came to know about the incident five hours later after a villager from Baktal rushed to the Gandhvani police station.

Senior police officers have rushed to the spot.

Fire brigade was summoned from the industrial town of Pritamput to put out the fire and extricate the dead. Fifteen heads cattle also perished in the fire.
