ISLAMABAD: India and Pakistan Jan 27 exchanged the instruments of ratification of the agreement on prohibition of attack against each other’s nuclear installations and facilities. The agreement which was signed on December 311988 comes into effect from Jan 27.

The high commissioners of India and Pakistan deposited the instruments of ratification in New Delhi and Islamabad.

While Abdul Sattar handed over the papers to the Indian foreign secretary Muchkund Dubey the Indian high commissioner here J.N.Dixit deposited the papers with the acting foreign secretary of Pakistan Afzal Qadir in Islamabad.

However official sources said the papers exchanged did not include the list of nuclear installations and facilities in the two countries.
