CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government has raised the amount of bounty paid to a police officer killing a Sikh militant of “A grade” to Rs 21 lakh while the minimum amount paid to him for killing any ordinary Sikh militant is Rs 10 lakh, according to official sources. Mostly Sikh police officers are engaged in the job of killing the Sikh militants. According to a source, while the CRPF has been chased back into its camps in Punjab and even those camps are under direct militant attacks, the Border Security Force has bought peace by conniving with the militants in smuggling in arms from across the Indo-Pak border.
