NEW DELHI: A resolution adopted by the Babri Committee expressed its concern and anguish over P.V.Narasimha Rao’s attempt to finalize a “grand Rama temple Trust” with the object of converting the “site of the mosque” to a temple, It regretted that the Prime Minister had gone back on his solemn promises and dismissed the Government’s claim of being even handed to both the parties to the dispute as “hollow.” “The Government’s partisan and anti-Muslim attitude was there for everyone to sec. The demolitionist sought to be legitimized and regularized for petty political gains,” it added.
