MANILA PHILIPPINES: Suspected Muslim renegades massacred about 40 people in a remote village in the southern Philippines the state-run news agency reported Monday.
According to authorities the killings began Sunday afternoon when about 20 armed men entered the village of Sinaguran about 500 miles south of Manila. According to the report the gunmen lined up the villagers shot some and stabbed others.
Earlier in the day Miyazawa who is also the president of the ruling party named a new party executive line-up.
