CHANDIGARH: Mohinder Singh Gill M.L.A a former M.P. and Chief of Punjab Pradesh Congress (I) called for immediate measures to remove B.J.P. Governments in Himachal Pradesh Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan as they could no longer be trusted to uphold the rule of law and secular way of functioning.

In a statement Gill said that the B.J.P. leadership and their allied organizations had betrayed the Prime Minister the parliament the Supreme Court and the public. The state governments led by the party had encouraged “karsevaks” to go to Ayodhya. All the Rajasthan ministers had submitted their resignations to the chief minister to involve themselves in the Ayodhya on. Destruction plans. After Dec. 6 the state government celebrates the destruction. Now these governments were adopting hypocritical postures as defenders of rule of law and promoters of the values of secularism. But the country can no longer trust them.

The central government has done its best to upload the rule of law and secularism. The prime ministers statement that the Masjid would be rebuilt is welcome. At the same time no Indian is opposed to the construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya.

Gill said that the Masjid destruction episode symbolized a serious challenge to the secular values of the Indian Constitution. It was an ideal opportunity for the country to restore these values by thoroughly cleaning up all organs of Indian state including the states governors’ bureaucracy and the judiciary. A comprehensive Operation alone will undo the damage caused to Indians living abroad to its economy and polity. Consequential destruction of Mandir’s and Gurdwara’s inside and outside the country has also disturbed the nerve system of the society.
