Dr. Gurdarshan Singh Dhillon has had a brilliant academic career He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy for his thesis on the Singh Sabha Movement. He joined the teaching profession in 1966 and is now working as Reader in History at the Panjab University Chandigarh. He has several books and research papers to his credit. His area of specialization is the modem history of Punjab. He is a keen observer of the events in the state.
