Kallu who now lives in Meerut and draws from the Indian state a retainer ship of Rs 120 per month and another Rs 80 per execution was responding to the interviewer’s question whether he remembered the last words said by the various people executed by him.
Kallu said nothing more on the event but clearly indicated that the Sikh youth was in high spirits when he laid down his lift. He does not remember anything said by any other man he executed. Kallu had gone underground after the execution fearing an attack on his life by Sikh militants, He surfaced recently. He lives at Meerut in a dirty location along with his family. Kallu says that he felt great when he executed Kashmir freedom movement leader Maqbool Bhatt “because he was an anti-Indian and such people must die before they can strike hard.” Kallu is a regular visitor to a mandir situated close to his house.
