Local Americans and several immigrant communities have tried to cope up with such crisis through organized social services for families, couples and individuals struggling with a variety of issues such as relationship difficulties, child behavior problems, marital conflicts, depression, job stress, sexual abuse, separation and divorce criminal behavior, drug and alcohol abuse, physical handicaps, single parenthood, health problems, or spiritual crises. To all these are added the problems being faced by new immigrants, with language handicaps, economic deprivation, and lack of guidance and support needed in this country, even to find a first home, a first job, a baby sitter who they can trust (when child abuse is rampant in this country).
