HONG KONG, AUG.15: A prominent labor leader in the Chinese prodemocracy movement was expelled to Hong Kong Saturday night after receiving treatment for tuberculosis in the United States and returning to China on Friday.
The dissident, Han Dongfang, said today that he had been beaten by security officers before being deported to Hong Kong for supposedly engaging in subversive activities.
