CHANDIGARH: Punjab police chief K.P.S.Gill has denied he has been appointed India’s envoy to Romania or that his consent has been obtained by the government for that appointment. It appears from Gill’s reaction to a new story about his likely new political posting that he’s not willing to be sent to be sent to Romania. His feeling seems to be that he needs no great protection as he has finished militancy. He therefore wants a more active posting within the country like governorship.
