Srinagar: Jul.4 : Indian security forces in the Kashmir valley launched crack down operations at over half a dozen places killing more than 18 people most of them young militants. At Kupwara security forces carried out cardoon and search operations in which six militants were captured and shot. In another incident security forces shot down a party of militants seeking to cross the border, In the shootout 5 militants were killed while two army men were reported killed. Another report states that in Bemina two militants were killed and one arrested in 3 shootout between the militants: and the BSF.
On the Jammu Srinagar highway militants ambushed an army convoy in which six army men were killed, the militants managed 19 escape after the attack. The Kadalbal bridge on Pampore Pulwama road was destroyed by the militants on Saturday.
