Mr. Harvey L.Backmendar’s view stated in his letter “Deny Foreign Aid to India: (W.S.N May 81992). “By playing both sides off against the other India has managed to get from each of these great powers vast amounts of political loot” has now been reinforced in the release of Kremlin’s documents as reported in the May 291992 issue of New England’s respectable daily newspaper “The Boston Globe.” It stated “Another set of documents allegedly details Soviet financial support for Indira Gandhi the Indian Prime Minister who was assassinated in 1984 and her family including her son Rajiv who was killed last year These will be held back to avoid embarrassing a Major Third World ally.
It is only a matter of time when the world will find out the nefarious and negative role played by the then Soviet Union in the internal affairs of India particularly the attack of the Sikhism’s holy places in June 1984 including Darbar Sahib Amritsar.
