CHANDIGARH (PTI) Seven people including four militants were killed while an explosion damaged a security force vehicle in the state of Punjab.
A militant committed suicide by consuming cyanide when he was overpowered by security forces after a brief encounter in Patiala district. A police head constable Tikka Singh seriously wounded in the encounter was hospitalized.
A central reserve police force vehicle parked outside a security force post in Ghee Mandi in Amritsar district was damaged in an explosion.
