New Delhi: Senior officers of India’s security forces are these days a worried let: the ranks of security forces in Kashmir have been infiltrated by militants while security forces in Punjab are quite demoralized.
Highly placed intelligence sources have been quoted by a leading newspaper, Times of India, as admitting that recently four personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, including an officer of the rank of deputy commandant, were found involved in a plan to attack the high security Sano war area of Srinagar where most of senior Indian police and Para-military officers are stationed.
All the four officials were arrested last week along with certain arms and documents. They were approached by an official of the Kashmir police for action. Earlier, India’s belief was that only knowledge that ITBP had also been affected came to authorities as a shock. In this connection, India arrested a Kashmir police constable officials are gated by India’s intelligence men, Meanwhile, CRPF contingent deployed at a defeated B.S.P candidates residence at Ludhiana’s Vishvakarma locality did not come to the help of the victims of militant firing despite cries for help raised by them. According to reports the Sikh militants who fired at Ludhiana last week to kill about 20 Hindus had earlier sent warnings to those who had defied the order of the Panthic committee not to join the Indian sponsored election drama, in Punjab. Many of the killed were activists of the B.J.P.
