CHANDIGARH: The Bashujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mr Kanshi Ram has asked the militants and the organizations which had boycotted the Punjab elections not to enter into a conflict with the BSP as their fight is against the Punjab government and the Center.
Stating that Panthic organizations were justified in their boycott the BSP president said none of the Akali leaders had ever approached him to join the boycotted,
When asked if the BSP MLAs would resign on an appeal by Panthic organizations he said such organizations should approach him directly and not throughout the press. The BSP would wait for the next step by these organizations, Bofors deciding to support them. Also, it was not necessary that the BSP should support or agree to their every act or accept every appeal, he said.
Mr Danshi Ram said Beant Singh government was not selected government and being a blacks spot on democracy, the earlier it fell would be the better.
Two of our candidates, including one at Samana from where Akali Dal (Kabul) candidate, Mr Amarinder Singh won unanimously were detained by the police for about a week and another was forced by a deputy superintendent of police to withdraw his nomination”, Mr Kanshi Ram alleged. As protest these irregularities; he said he refused to meet the prime Minister who had invited him. Force in the name of democracy and claimed to have informed him about the irregularities being carried on the elections.
Mr Kanshi Ram described the killings of BSP workers as sheer madness. The killings he repeated
is earlier charge, were aimed at creating a rift between the BIP and the militants.
The BSP Leader earlier met the Punjab Governor on his invitation.
