NEW DELHI: India will sign the “Montreal Protocol” on reducing emission level of chloro fluro carbons (CEC) that damage the earth’s protective ozone layer once the amendments suggested by the developing countries are ratified and implemented.
Disclosing this to newsmen in the Indian capital New Delhi Friday night, environment Minister Kamal Nath said 20 countries were required to ratify these amendments and 18 have signed till date. India’s not against the protocol at all, he said.
