The Panthic committee associated with Dr Soban Singh and others and militant groups functioning under its command have in a statement accused the police “black cats” and a special police officer for being responsible for the Ket Khalsa incident in which a dozen women of brick kiln workers were raped,
The Amritsar deputy commissioners wife Sukhjinder Kaur visited the village to hear the victims workers” families were first at tacked and looted by a group of med raiders. Then the women folk were raped. All the raiders had their faces muffled, according to media reports. Mysteriously the police reported that Avtar Singh, a member of the gang which indulged in looted and rape, had died after consuming cyanide when he was being taken by a police party for recovery of arms. The police claimed that six other member of the gang had been arrested.
