Dear Editor, Re: Book Review “Gurdwaras in India and around the world by Patwant and Gurmeet Thukral.”

The book review by Dr.I.J.Singh and G.S.Mann of two books by Patwant Singh was) interesting. Bewitched by the color of the photographs and lavish extravaganza of these publications the reviewers have forgotten to look into the contents of these books and the idea behind them.

The books have been inspired by the Hindu government thought of misplacing the financial resources of the Sikh community at a time when our very Survival is at stake.

Patwant may look like a Sikh with hair and turban from outside, but the Hindu ideas are permanently embedded in his mind. In the very beginning of his previous book “The Golden Temple” the author has described the Sikh Religion as a synthesis of the Muslim and Hindu Religions thus he tried to destroy the very originality and authenticity of the Sikh thought that is very unique and different from all other religious thoughts over the centuries. There are Several other such nonsense ideas in that book that needs to be Put in proper perspective, but the space in a letter to the Editor does not permit that kind of detailed rebuttal. | ds a Sikh would not waste my time and money to buy these books even for review purposes, because that money can fill the needs of a family of a Sikh martyr in Punjab who has suffered death and destruction at the hands of Hindu government tyrants in India. We must recognize our priorities as a nation. The independent living is the birth right of sovereign Khalsa which has to be restored at all costs, The evil of torture and oppression by tyrant governments must be finished Once and for all and at the earliest possible moment.

As far as these two books by an agent of the Hindu Sarkar are concerned, these are rubbish. Remember! All that glitters is nor gold.
