LAHORE: A countrywide demonstration by Muslim women here, strongly condemned the unprecedented brutalities being perpetrated by the Indian occupation forces Over the Kashmiri people demanding their right of self-determination,

A resolution adopted by the convention held under the aegis of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan denounced the continued violation ‘of human rights in held Kashmir and New Delhi’s persistent refusal to allow foreign media men and human rights activists to visit the Valley to have firsthand information of the situation there.

The convention expressed its concern that the US, championing the cause of human rights, was silent on the killing of Kashmiris by the Indian troops and on the Other hand, was pressurizing Pakistan against any kind of help to the Kashmir is. The convention called upon the Pakistan government to reject the US pressure in this respect and continue its moral support to the Kashmiris in their struggle for their right of self-determination.

The convention also called upon the OJC to take practical measures to implement its resolution in support of Kashmiris adopted at the recent OIC Foreign Ministers conference held at Karachi.

The convention also expressed its deep grief and anxiety over the continuous massacre of the Muslims in Bosnia Herzegovina by, the Serbian soldiers.
