BOMBAY: Seven passengers were injured when miscreants threw an acid bulb at an Ambamiathbound fast local train near the Bhandup railway station on the central railway Jan.18, report PTI and UNI.

The train was terminated at the Bhandup station where it was vacated and then taken to the yard for inspection.

An incident of arson was reported from Dahisar in north Bombay. Three persons were taken into custody on V.P.Road for their involvement in the notes. A total of 119 cases have been registered and 3,623 persons have been arrested for specific offences and 3,715 on a preventive basis, police said.

Schools and colleges reopened Monday after a week’s closure during the notes, and consequently there were more commuters using the public transport services. Residents of this city, however, are still unable to shake off the fear and memory of the last week’s mayhem and violence and attendance in many offices continued to be low.

Essential commodities are scare and are being sold ata premium in many of the curfew bound areas.
