JALANDHAR: The Jabbar Virodhi Front ( JVF) Punjab has appealed to all the Akali Dal factions to unitedly fight the elections as the boycott would help the ruling Congress (I) but would lower the image of the Sikh community the world over.
The boycott decision would be further used as an excuse by the Union government to use state repression against the Sikhs and boost the image of the Union government.
Shiv Kanwar Singh Sandhu Satnam Singh Chahal and Bikramjit Singh Aulakh senior leaders of the front said that the Akalis should have some sympathy for those staying outside Punjab.
