Right from the rejection of the unlawful Indian constitution of 1950, the Sikhs have been waging a peaceful political fight. The first Sikh LA.S. Officer late S.Kapoor Singh had clearly mentioned in his book Sachi Sakhi that there it’s no compromise as far as a separate nation is concerned. It was then in 1978, that the Sikh public felt the need to pick the gun after mass massacre of 13, innocent Sikhs by the Nirankaris supported by the Government of India (G.O.1,). Then again in 1984, there was an unwarranted attack on the Sikhs Holiest Shrine. The Golden Temple and destruction of Akal Takht Sahib along with a massive massacre of innocent pilgrims figuring in hundreds. The repercussion of the attack left a perpetual black scar on every Sikhs mind.
The shooting of madam Indira was an example of the Sikh revenge. The repercussion of shooting Mrs.Gandhi was anti Sikh sentiments resulting in discriminating killings of the Sikhs throughout India.
The continued arms struggle of the Sikhs has been going on nonstop, against one common FOE. There is no doubt that no revolutionary movement is without its ups and down, But ups and down in the movement should not lead to the weakening of the morale, Year after year the militants have overcome immense difficulties and privations, the destructions of their homes, and total disruption or death of their families in order to continue the fight against the Government of Tyranny. We have realized that various militant bodies do admit that in the past they may have committed a number of mistakes. However, they pledge to eradicate the same and bring efficiency to their struggle.
The Sikhs should not fall prey to the cheap tactics of the Government of India and become the victim of divide and rule policy. The G.O.I. has planted its paid agents to create mistrust and confusion amongst each other in the Sikh movement. Why? Because they know that nobody can fight against the Sikhs but only the Sikhs, So we should ask ourselves, our soul as to how we can put an end to this tragic mishap, We should promise {6 Ourselves that in no way we are going to fight with one another, So come let’s all stand up and pray to our Waheguru to give us this divine power so that we always remain united like one soul, one body, one mind so as to defeat our common enemy.
We, the Shromant Babbar Akali Dal clearly state that the young’s are becoming reluctant to come forward to fight when they see how families of Shaheeds are being neglected. So’ we appeal to each and every Sikh living abroad to sincerely cooperate and help the families of Shaheeds and boost the morale of freedom fighters, Hardip Singh, Secretary Shromani Babbar Akali Dal (Thailand Branch).
