Fresno: There is a new government in Washington, but our goal has not been accomplished, The Republican Party has historically “worked 6 stop oppression and atrocities in the world. The United States has to stop this oppression and violation of Human Rights. These are not the words, but the message of Congressman Dan Burton (RIndiana) whose amendment to the Foreign Aid Appropriations Actuals 24 million in Developmental Aid to India in response to India’s refusal to repeal laws which violates human rights in northern India. The amendment does preserve 100 million in humanitarian aid, mostly for food.

This action shows Burton’s understanding of the tragedy of human Oppression as is seen today in India, Kastimir, Somalia, Boznia-Herzegovina, and Palestine. Congressman Burton is a member of both the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Congressional Human Rights Caucus. The essential point is that this Congressman be retained in the legislature to make certain that United States Aid does not foster oppression.
