Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Guru and last Prophet of Sikhs in human form out reach all other saints in the universe in more than one sphere of life. He is an embodiment of multidimensional personality that no other great saintly person has displayed. But for the recorded version, people would have found it difficult to believe that such a saint was a scholar, statesman, pocl, patrol. Philosopher, author, autobiographer, administrator, architect, general, promoter of aris, democrat, promoter of good and destroyer of evil. He is the only one, who created the force in the shape of Khalsato fight for justice and to defend the weak. Above all other unique and unparalleled qualities, the once and only who consented for sacrifice of His revered father Guru Teg Bahadur ji, the ninth Guni, and all his four Sons Sahib Zadas Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh. On top of all this, he recompiled and nominated Guru Granth Sahib as the etemal Guru for all times to come, there is not and there will not be any Gumi in the human form. He was born in Patina in Bihar State, lived and fought against evil and tyranny his whole life and left this world in Hazoor Sahib in Kamatka State.
Guru Gobind Singh ji not only preached, but also practiced. He infused life into the almost dead Indian society that used to be ravished by foreign aggressors for over 1000 years. He did such a miracle act by creating Khalsa Panth on Baisakhi day Sambhat year 1756 i.e. Apnl 13 in 1699 Keshgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib in Punjab, India. But for Him the history of India would have been different This miracle act changed not only the religious fabric of the Society, but also the moral, social, economic, cultural and political aspect as well.
Guru Gobind Singh baptized Bhai Daya Singh, Bhai Himmat Singh, Bhai Dharam Singh, Bhai Mohkam Singh, and Bhai Sahib Singh, the five beloved once (Panj Piaras).
Guru Gobind Singh demolished caste barriers by baptizing each one from different castes. Bhai Daya Singh was a khan, Bhai Himmat Singh was a cheour, Bhai Dharam Singh was a jat, Bhai Mohkam Singh was a nai, and Bhai Sahib Singh was a sheemba. He made them Singh, a lion, and gave them the name of Khalsa Panth. He gave the women the title of Kaur, a princess.
Guru Gobind Singh demolished staie bamers as well. The five beloved ones were from different states of India. Bhai Daya Singh was from Lahore, Bhai Himmat Singh from Jagan nath pun, Bhai Dharam Singh from Delhi, Bhai Mohkam Singh from Kathia bar, now Gujarat, Bhai Sahib Singh from Bidar, now Kamataka. He gave them one birth place Kesgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib. Guru Gobind Singh knit the five beloved ones into one family by giving them one parentage. The mother of five beloved ones is Mata Sahib Kaur and the father is Guru Gobind Singh.
Guru Gobind Singh gave all the five equal rights. He ordered them to decide the differences/disputes by Gurmatia. He laid the foundation for running the affairs of the Society on democratic lines. He created the commonwealth of the Khalsa Panth.
Gum Gobind Singh, in all humility dedicated the birth of Khalsa to the Will of Parmatama, Almighty. He blessed the Khalsa with all his powers. So much so, he exalted them to kis place and took Amn from them and became Gobind Singh from Gobind Rai. Guru Gobind Singh was a very strict disciplinarian. He ordered the Khalsa to bear Kachha (an undenvear), Karra (a stecl bracelet), Kirpan (a miniature sword), Kesh (unshom hair) and Kanga (a comb). He ordered them to observe stnctly the code of conduct, and said that He loved and respected more ‘Code of Conduct’ than the person. He ordered them to shed super suasions and not to worship idols.
Guru Gobind Singh ordered the Khalsa lo be ready and prepared to defend the weak and oppressed. He gave the slogan, “when all modes of redressing a wound have failed, raising of sword is pious and just.” Self-defense and self-preservation is every one’s birth right and he should exercise it. He ordained the Khalsa to do one’s own work. Let there be no parasite.
The Khalsa which started with five beloved ones has now spread all over the world. We all celebrate the birth of Khalsa, every year on Baisakhi day and took Amnit from them and became Gobind Singh from Gobind Rai.

The miracle act of birth of Khalsa is in the roots of the successes of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, who meld in the name of the Khalsa Panth. He advanced the boundaries of Punjab to Kabul, Kandhar and included Jammu, Kashmir, Leh, Ladakh and even Tibet. Otherwise major poruon of north India would have been a part of Afghanistan. Then India was invaded from the Soath. The English staned taking possession of the tensions from Madras. In 1809 the British recognized the boundary of Punjab ruled by Maharaja Ranpt Singh to the north of river Satluj. Punjab was the last to fell to the British in 1848 and Punjabis the first, where a call for libation of India on ginated, after the massacre of Jallianwala Bagh in 1919. Congress which was formed by an Englishman to project the grievances of the local people, was working only to feed back the British for removal of local tensions. It was only after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, that Congress considered for libation of India and passed a Resolution for Independence I in 1929 on the banks of river Ravi in Lahore.
It is the Punjab that topped list of human sacrifices for attainment of freedom of India. Significantly this land of the great Gurus, has seen the epic of Mahabarta and of Lav and Kush sons of Lord Rama. It has always been changing, vibrantandinhigh “spins. It has effected the policies and boundaries. of India, more than any other Indian State or couple of States pul to together.
The best tribute to this greal Guro is by following his principles not only in preaching, but also in practice.
