The director of Schaumburg Library, Mr. Michael Madden, was the Chief guest of Sikh Sangat at Gurdwara Palatine. He was presented with fifteen books on Sikh History and culture to keep in Schaumburg Library for the people interested in seeking information on Sikhs and Sikhism. Kuldip Singh Makkar worked on this project to convince the library authorities about the need of the books and newspaper. He was coordinated in his efforts by Himmat Singh Ahuja at the ceremony of donating the books Kul dip Singh Makkar’s efforts were lauded by Sardar H. S. Kalra Director of Administration World Sikh Organization (USA).
