The Congress (I) kicked off its advertising blitz with a big map of India under a legend “Will this be the last time you see India in this shape?” A Marathi daily rep reduced the same ad with this added remark: s* Yes, if the Congress (1) is elected to Office this time.”
A national daily turned the scorpion ad (to stress the dangers of divisive forces) against the ruling party. It subtly showed that the three deadly creatures were actually Congress (1) leaders out to attack each other.
The Congress (I) rivals are coming out with their counter campaign. Much of it is to be based on published newspaper cartoons de bunking the government stand on the Bofors gun deal.
