CANDIGARH, India: One person was fired at and injured while the security forces arrested four freedom fighters during the past 24 hours in Punjab.
Two unidentified cycle borne youths fired at an injured Harprem in Moga in Faridkot district this morning. The injured was rushed to hospital where he was declared ‘out of danger.
The security forces shot dead one intruder from Pakistan in an alleged encounter near Mahawa border post in Amritsar district last night,
The Jullundur police has arrested two freedom fighters and allegedly recovered a revolver and some cartridges from them. A police Press release identified them as Ajit Singh and Sukhwinder Singh.
