STOCKTON, Ca. World Sikh Organization leaders welcomed the Sikh High Priests’ call urging Sikhs all over the world to support organizations fighting for shaking off the shackles of slavery.
S.Didar Singh Bains, President W.S.O. (International) said that sooner Sikhs realize that their religion will not be safe till they establish Khalistan, beater it would be for them. The call has clinched the issue once for all and the time for skeptical prophets of doom is gone, he added. Sikhs must now unite and sink their differences to follow with full dedication the mandate issued by the High Priests, it is not a call for Political gains but for the preservation of Sikh identity, he said,
Dr. Manohar Singh Grewal, President W.S.O, (US.A.) also welcomed the call and expressed similar views, The continuing onslaught against the Sikhs and the brutal killing of Sikh young men in staged encounters are chiefly responsible for pushing Sikhs to a point of no return, he said. He appealed to the Sikhs to heed the call and contribute in whatever way they can to make the Sikh crusade for freedom fighters @ resounding success.S.Gian Singh Sandhu, President W.S.O (Canada) said that the World Sikh Organization welcomed the observation made by the four highest Sikh Priests, Giani Jaswant Singh, Jathe ‘dar Takht Damdama Sahib, Gia in Swinder Singh, Jathedar Takht Kesgarh Sahib, Giani Puran Singh, Head Priest of the Golden Temple and Giani Kashmira Singh, Head| Priest Akal Takht, Amritsar that “the Sikhs are systematically repressed by the Indian government and it is futile to talk of national unity when excess are being committed against the Silchs all over the country”
“Their specific endorsement of Sikh youth fighting a decisive war for liberation has made it very clear that the Sikhs in India would settle for nothing less than the total freedom. Their analysis that if the Indian government continued repression against Sikhs “no power on earth can prevent Sikh youth from pursuing their declared goal ‘which is attainment of Khalistan.
“The World Sikh Organization requests the Canadian government and the peace loving countries around the world to raise their issue with the Indian Prime Minister during his visit to Canada in October and find a solution to this very grave situation in India”.
S.Amarjit Singh Buttar, W.S.O. National Council Member also welcomed the call by the Singh Sahibs. He said that Sikh masses will overwhelmingly support the call as they were facing unprecedented repression of virtual police ‘Raj. He also said that the vested interests both within and without the country will lie low but the Sikh intelligentsia in North America as elsewhere will whole heartedly support it. This observation, he said, is based on his travels and contacts with people all over North America bring the past year. He also appealed to the various Sikh organizations to come together at this Critical juncture and strengthen the Sikh cause.
