MELBOURNE, Nov. 23, Reuters: A car bomb exploded outside the Turkish Consulate early today, killing one person and injuring another, police said.
The blast at 0216 locate time extensively damaged the Turkish Consulate and the five story building in which it was housed, police said.
They said the explosion was so powerful that they had not yet established the make of the car used or been able to identify the remains of the person killed.
Police said one woman suffered shock and lacerations from the blast. She was treated at the scene.
