CERES: The Sikhs of Modesto and Ceres met former Congressman Tony Coelho and thanked him for his efforts to cosponsor the Indian human rights bill and focus on the human right violations against the Sikhs in India.
Representatives of the community presented Mr. Coelho with a plague, a sword and a siropa (robe of honor) on behalf of the Sikh community. This was at a function
of the Democratic Party at Snelling Park.
Mr. Coelho assured the community of his continuing support for their cause.
The delegation which met him included, Niranjan Singh Samra, Amarjit (Sam) Samra, Satwant (Sagi) Sanghera, Bhupinder S. Dosanjh, Sukhchain S. Brar, Jarnail S. Dosanjh, Amrik S. Dosanjh, Onkar S. Dosanjh, Sukhwinder S. Dosanjh and Jagat Singh Jagga.
