ISLAMABAD: Along with top level changes the Bhutto government has ordered a probe into the alleged misuse of funds by the power Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) a prominent English daily reported on Friday.

The nation quoted reliable sources as saying that a strong clique within the ISI allegedly diverted funds for the formation of the seven party Islamic Democratic Alliance (IDA) and financed its campaign in the November general elections against the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

The Pakistan Prime Minister, Mrs. Benazir Bhutto decided to go for a cleanup of the ISI after six masked men captured in Sindhi confessed that they were paid for creating havoc in the sensitive province by some persons having links with the ISI according to the daily.
