NEW DELHE: Mr. Ram Naresh Yadav on Tuesday made an appeal to the secretary general of the Janata Dal, Ajit Singh through the press to join the Congress (I).
Yadev was confident that “good people like Ajit Singh in the Janata Dal” would sooner or later part company with the “shortsighted and feudal leadership” of the disintegrating Janata Dal and join “the main political stream of the country as represented by the Congress (I).
Asked if his appeal was addressed to all members of the earst while Lok Dal (A) Yadav clarified that door of the Congress (1) were “not open to all.” Only good people like Ajit Singh would
be welcomed.”
He denied having met Ajit Singh with Congress (I) feelers but he admitted to have been meeting with other members of the Janata Dal. He felt that Ajit Singh had no place or position in the Janata Dal and like an “Abhimanyu” he had been trapped in the “Chakravyuhha” of V.P. Singh, Devi Laland others.
