Answering questions at the Stockton Airport about the Sikh support for him and the Sikh struggle in India, he told David Judson of Stockton record, “Sikhs are supporting me because they support President Reagan’s policies. They being good citizens of United States are working towards making America stronger and are really concerned about worldwide peace like we all are today”.
Earlier a delegation of Sikh youth of California led by Ajit Singh Pannu of Stockton met Ed Zschau at the airport and pledged him their support. “We are sure your victory will strengthen President Reagan’s policies to make America stronger and to create harmony and peace around the world”, the delegation told Ed Zschau.
Sikh youth of California also issued an appeal to the Sikhs of California to extend full support to
Ed Zschau for a better deal to farmers, schools, and civil liberties everywhere.
