STOCKTON, Ca: The Stockton unit of the Sikh Youth of Bay Area is active in mobilizing Sikh citizens of the area to enlist as voters. A door to door campaign has been started to make Sikhs participate in the political mainstream of the country.
Ajit Singh Pannu, convener of the local unit informed World Sikh News that youth group met the Campaign Manager of Congressman from 14th district, Mr Norman D. Shumway, who is again contesting the election from the 14th district. The group apprised him with the Sikh problem and urged him to convey to Mr. Shumway the concern of his Sikh voters for the systematic genocide of Sikhs that is being carried out by the Indian government.
