CHANDIGARH: The Government of India has decided to ex tend the ban on two Sikh organizations, National Council of Khalistan and Dal Khalsa for another two years. The two organizations ‘were banned in 1984 for two years in the wake of Akali agitation. A notification for extending the ban on these organizations was issued by the Union Home Ministry some Ease was banned along with A.I.S.S.F. The ban on A.I.S.S.F was lifted Following the Punjab Accord. The National Council of Khalistan and Dal Khalsa have been charged for ‘encouraging secessionist and violent activities in Punjab, aimed at destroying the territorial integrity of the country.
