NEW DELHI: The BJP president, Lal Krishna Advani who was released from house arrest in Dumka district in Bihar, flew in here Sunday.
On arrival, Advani told reporters that the October 30 event in Ayodhya, when karsewaks (volunteers) of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad stormed the disputed Ram Jamna Bhoomi Babri Masjid site, was a “victory” of people’s power over the state power.
He said the Ram Janam Bhoomi issue was not a “communal one” and the Ram Temple had to be constructed in Ayodhya.
