CHANDIGARH: The five member “Panthic Committee” and the underground militant outfit, KCF, headed by Mr Wassan Singh Zaffarwal, said today that it would welcome a debate on the concept of “Khalistan” at all levels.
A statement issued here referred to the speech by Mr Atinderpal Singh, MP in the Lok Sabha that the Sikhs should be granted “Khalistan” with in the constitutional framework on the pattern of ‘Nagaland and Mizoram and regretted that many Sikhs were unclear about the concept of “Khalistan” which, it claimed, emerged from the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib. The statement also asked Mr Kirpal Singh and Mr Inder Kumar Gujral who were elected to Parliament with the “exclusive help of Sikh militant youth” to stop talking in terms of “Punjabis’” which was not being supported by the Hindu population of Punjab. They were the root cause of the “whole trouble” in this part of the land.
The statement was signed by Mr Wassan Sikh Zaffarwal, Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Papoo Dhadiala, Bhai Musibat Singh Warrerh, Bhai, Sarabjit Singh Uppal, Bhai Jassas Singh Ghuk, Bhai Jarnail Singh Hoshiarpur, Bhai Jassa Singh Santuwal, Mr Sukbir Sinjgh and Bhai Sital Singh Mattewal.
