I would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to you personally, members of your committee and/or representatives of your organization to the third WSOUSA convention on July 28, 1990 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Hotel El Rancho, 1029 West Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, California (91 6)3 716 731 or 1-800-952-55 6 6.

WSO-USA holds its national conventions every other year. The delegates present at the convention review the performance of the WSO during the past two years, select/elect 31 members to the National Council for a two year term, and provide the National Council policy guidance within the framework of the WSO constitution. If you have any suggestions for the agenda, please mail your suggestions to S. Surinder Pal S. Kalra, Director of Administration. Please mail your suggestions to Sardar Kalra by July 22, 1990.

Sardar Sahib, please remember that Khalistan, the land of our Gurus and soul of all the Sikhs, is still occupied by the evil forces of the Hindu regime. Our brothers and sisters are laying down their lives to fight against the oppression of the evil regime and to liberate Khalistan. As a Sikh we have the moral obligation to support our brothers and sisters in this struggle for their existence and liberate Khalistan from the shackles of slavery.

This is not an easy task and cannot be accomplished by one individual or the individual efforts of all of us. We must combine our resources, our talent, and channel our energy and efforts collectively and in an organized fashion based on democratic principles. In 1984 the World Sikh Organization (WSO) was formed with this objective. WSO is the only organization which has enshrined the will, desire, and aspiration of the Sikh Nation (creation of Khalistan) in its constitution. A copy of the WSO by laws is enclosed for your information. The WSO bylaws provide collective and democratically selected/elected leadership. Let’s be united and work together to fulfill our commitment to liberate Khalistan. Your active participation, cooperation, and support at this convention is essential for the success of this convention and to provide collective leadership, support, and cooperation to the freedom movement.
