Dear Mr. Amanullah Khan,
We cannot fathom how you can claim that last week’s announcement of the formation of a provisional government of Kashmir is going to, to quote you, “Raise the morale of Kashmiris living abroad.” especially when the Quixotic move has no mandate from the people of Kashmir. On the contrary it has divided the Kashmiris abroad and aroused suspicions about the integrity and patriotism of innocent Kashmiris who have been nominated, without their knowledge and permission, to the so called 24 member Ministerial and Advisory Council. This action has disconcerted some of the nominees decent and patriotic Kashmiris who were hospitable and kind to you. We believe you owe them an unqualified apology.
It amazes us that out of 800 million Indians, all of whom are not Jansanghi, you should nominate a well-known “Jansanghi” bigot nay Nazi, who happens to be the illegitimate scion of an illegitimate dynasty whose members have played “Holi” with the blood of the Kashmiri people. Incidentally, your action has received his indirect blessing according to the Indian press.
The hasty and thoughtless announcement is most inappropriate for the Kashmiri freedom movement, at this point in time, as it has given the fascist, but smart, Brahmin Ruling Elite in India a handy pretext to fool world opinion, especially the Islamic world, about the Kashmiri right of self-determination which is inshallah going to be exercised through a U.N. supervised plebiscite.
We feel that no chair borne self-appointed Kashmiri leader has the moral or political justification, at this juncture, to announce from the safety of Azad Kashmir, the formation of a provisional government. That right belongs ONLY to the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir who have earned it through their sacrifices and moral and physical courage in facing Indian bayonets.
The announcement of a provisional government is just as harmful to our cause and image as was your boastful statement last year taking responsibility for the Rubaya Syed kidnapping which incidentally was described by Sardar Buta Singh (former Indian Home Minister) in the Indian press as a “R.A.W.” operation stage managed by that Indian intelligence agency he should know.
Your statement in New York this year taking responsibility and announcing the cold blooded execution in Kashmir of three innocent hostages (two of whom were Muslim) before the gruesome murder took place also played right into the Indian hands and damaged the Kashmiri image abroad. ‘We are sure this episode too, in time, will be exposed as “R.A.W.” operation.
This is the time for unity and it really pains us to question your motives in making irresponsible statements and declarations which while hurting the Kashmir cause help the Indian fascists to delay their departure from our occupied land. If we may suggest that before you lose all your credibility, you use your considerable talents to muster public opinion in Pakistan and Kashmir to support Khalistan as the road to Srinagar lies through Amritsar, Chandigarh and the Teral. Any help for Khalistan helps our brave Kashmiri freedom fighters in the short term as it subverts the Indian occupation force in Kashmir as at least 20% of the Indian army and air force is Sikh. In the long term any support that accelerates the creation Khalistan accelerates our freedom as the crescent and star will fly Srinagar, Jammu and Leh within 24 hours of the hoisting of the Sikh sacred standard in the Durba Sahib in the Holy City of Amritsar. If your aim is truly, to quote you, “to accelerate the freedom struggle” then support for Khalistan is far more important and rewarding than any arbitrary and divisive declaration of a provisional government and advisory body.
Yours sincerely,
- Shaikh President
