ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s defence expenditure during 198990 has been budgeted at a whopping Rs 52.22 billion, registering a significant increase of Rs 5. 67 billion over last year.
“This level of allocation is inevitable considering the prevailing geo political situation in the region,” the pre-budget economic survey released Monday said.
Indications of an imminent hike in Pak defence expenditure came out soon after India announced an increase over last year’s defence budget.
“There are two identical countries in the world where a minority rules over the majority. One is South Africa, the other is India. The difference is that in India it is not color. It is caste”’
